Package Meals for Starving Children

Hope & Horses will serve the hungry by packing meals at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan on Thursday, Nov. 1, 8-9:30 p.m.

Feed My Starving Children is committed to feeding God's starving children hungry in body and spirit. Its approach is simple: Volunteers pack nutritious meals made up of rice, soy, vitamins and dehydrated vegetables, and then FMSC partners with relief organizations worldwide to distribute these meals to starving children.

If you'd like to join us, please RSVP by adding a comment at the end of this posting. We need 25 people to fulfill our volunteer commitment. Also, please go to: http://www.fmsc.org/Volunteers/DownloadableVolunteerResources2.aspx for the volunteer information flyer.

Please also consider a donation to FMSC, which relies on volunteer donations to purchase the ingredients for its meals. Each adult volunteer packs approximately $35 worth of food during a session. For groups wishing to defray expenses for the meals they pack during their visit, they suggest a $20-35 donation per volunteer. They can also use 9-volt batteries, paper towels and liquid soap. Of course, any donation will help!

A few reminders:
· The minimum adult-child ratios specified on our website apply to all groups, regardless of previous experience with us.
· Wear close-toed shoes and please stay away if you are not feeling well.

Your gifts of time and energy will literally save lives! Our efforts will help provide just one meal a day for many children who are starving. On behalf of God’s children, thank you in advance for your commitment.

Amy - I wish I could attend, but alas, will have to pass this time around (Marriage Course is held on Thursday nights). I very much enjoy going to FMSC. Please continue to schedule these, and David & I will attend when our schedule permits. Thanks!!!!
