Have a preference where we hold our October Day Ride? Some have suggested the River Bottoms in Jordan. Do you have other ideas? Cast your "vote" by commenting in response to this posting.

I was told this past weekend that it could be a good option for us, as there tends to be a lot of nails in the parking lot at the River Bottoms. If you have a 3 Rivers Park District trail pass, it is used at this park also.
Some of us are hoping to camp that weekend and meet up with the H&H trail ride at the same park (wherever that ends up being). Lake Rebecca (also 3 Rivers Park District) has a horse camp. Says on their website they have new horse trailer parking as well, as of 7/2007.

Carver Park is a nice park to ride in. But it also has a ton of bikes, hikers that are close to us on their own trail. Would depend on how the horses would react to that much activity.
I also have spend hours cleaning up the Cty Rd 9 parking area. I have been picking up nails every time I have gone down there. So far from my talking to people. No one has gotten a flat. Another option is to just park at the Trail Center for the River bottoms and pay the parking fee there. We would also have a building that has electric if we would like to make a meal??
