Benefit ride for Spinal Cord Society

On Sunday, October 5th at UMore Park in Rosemount there will be a benefit ride/walk to support the Spinal Cord Society (SCS). This independently funded non-profit organization is working to find a cure for chronic Spinal Cord injuries. They are 100% focused on finding a cure - not a better wheelchair! SCS is not attached to any pharmaceutical company or university. This enables them to combine any and all research to drive for the best results. Their sole focus is on a cure - and nothing less!

From the latest research reports - A Quantum Leap in Research Results - That's what the director of our research center called the results of our latest animal trial. For the first time, anywhere in the world, we have produced not just nerve regeneration, but actual refunction to the tune of a 30% return in the adult, chronic spinal cord injury! While others have claimed refunction in the acute, or freshly made injury, we are the only ones to have had significant success in chronic or long term injury; which is the version that must be conquered if we're going to actually cure anybody.

SCS has been virtually alone in working on the chronic injury and now we have truly exceeded what anyone else has done, even on the supposedly easier acutes. We are now working to prove that this treatment is reproducible, plus we are testing more ingredients which should improve it even further. We expect to have the answers by early next year and then the next step will be to take it to human trials. The beauty of our treatment is that all of the ingredients and techniques we use are already approved for use in humans. So that transition should be relatively quick and simple. Once we confirm our findings this will be beyond ground-breaking, it will be earth-shaking in the world of spinal cord injury cure. By this time next year we could truly be making history.
